この農場では、水は基本的に雨水を貯めるか、川か池から直接パイプを使って汲み出しているが、使い過ぎるとすぐ水不足のもととなってしまう。
ということで、洗濯や体を洗う時は基本的に川で行ってたんだが、川では、普段店頭で売られてる化学薬品を使ったシャンプーや洗剤は使ったらいけない。生活排水が自分たちの使う水と直結してる。洗濯の際は、パイナップルや木炭から作ったノンケミカルの洗剤を使う。台所洗剤もこれ。
持参のシャンプーやボディーソープを使う時は、シャワールームでなるべく水を節約しながら。

In this farm, they basically use water by saving rain, or pumping out it from river or ponds with pipes directly. But if they use it too much, then a water shortage happens soon.
So I basically went to the river when I needed to take a shower. But we couldn’t use washing materials including chemicals in the river. Living drainage connects with the water we use directly. When we wash our clothes there, we need to use no chemical one or their one made by pineapples, ashes and so on. When we take a shower with a chemical material, we need to be in a shower room and save the water as much as possible.
また、料理は、薪を使って火おこしするし、灰は前述の通り、洗剤の材料になる。
生ゴミは、一部豚のスージーに。スージーでも食べれそうにないものは、コンポストへ。で、コンポストから肥料を作る。

In cooking, we make fire with firewood and ashes are used for making washing material as above. We throw away kitchen waste to Susie, who is a pig. We throw away the rest of the waste she can’t eat to compost.
そして、生活の中に電気を使うことがあまりない。夕食後のひと時と各自の電気機器類の充電くらい。

And we don’t have chances to use electronics so much. We use it just after dinner and when we recharge our electronic products.
正直、以前はオーガニックは大事やろうけど、そんなに意識してなかったし、こだわってる人見て、すごいな、くらいにしか考えてなかった。けど、実際体験してみると、ちょっとずつでも始めようと思えるように。カンボジアでプラスチックゴミが至る所に捨てられてるのを見た影響もあるかも。

I knew organic was important, but I hadn’t considered it so much and just thought people who consider it were great.
But after I’ve experienced this lifestyle virtually, I have become to think that I will try to begin the lifestyle little by little. Probably it was also caused because I’ve seen plastic wastes everywhere in Cambodia.
